Neil studied photography at Bournemouth Art School in England, then based himself in London working as an editorial photographer. During this time, he travelled extensively, while commissioned to photograph musicians and youth subcultures. Identity is a constant theme he explores in his work.
In 2009 he moved to Vietnam and documented the communist country embracing capitalism and undergoing rapid economic and cultural change.
This provided the backdrop to a series of long-term photographic projects which he won awards for:
2014 Photo District News Award (NYC)
2016 Photo District News Award (NYC)
These works are from his recent solo show in London "Ode to British phone boxes"
